VISA

For international attendees to enter South Korea for the Asian Association of Endocrine Surgeons (ICKRS 2026) in Seoul, valid passports and entry visas depending on one’s visa requirement should be acquired prior to entry to the country. Some countries may be on visa-free, but all international attendees are advised to check whether your country is one of visa-free entry countries or not.

K-ETA

K-ETA is an electronic travel authorization that visa-free foreign visitors need to obtain before entering the Republic of Korea, by submitting relevant information online such as their travel information.

Starting 1st September 2021, K-ETA is Mandatory for all foreigners entering Korea from visa waiver countries and visa-free countries. All foreigners without either a K-ETA or a valid Visa will not be permitted to board a plane to Korea. 

The K-ETA approval may take 72 hours or more, depending on the number of applications received and the circumstances of the applicant. Therefore, make sure to complete the application for K-ETA 72 hours before boarding by aircraft.

If you have a visa, you do not need to apply for K-ETA. K-ETA is mandatory only if you do not have a visa.
